| AERATION A target pilot burner uses only secondary air. The gas is directly injected through a calibrated orifice in the pilot burner's target where it mixes with the air. That requires enough available "secondary" air inside the combustion chamber. Target pilot burners are suitable for all traditional atmospheric burners with open combustion chambers where enough air is available around the pilot burner to burn the pilot gas. This air comes directly from outside the chamber and is additional to the air drawn into the main burner by the gas flow. |
